I’ve never been a big fan of the WordPress gallery code. The functionality is fine, but the code it spits out has always annoyed me as I’ve felt it’s a lot more complicated than what I usually need and can be quite awkward to modify for complicated designs.

To route around this problem, I created a little snippet which allows you to convert it into a simpler unordered list. You can check it out on my Simpler WordPress gallery code page.
