Simple Comment Editing
Published November 23rd, 2013 under Plugins
Some of you may have seen a blog post I wrote a few months ago on WP Realm regarding the Simple Comment Editing plugin. This is one of my favourite plugins for WordPress and I use it on all of my own websites. The ability to edit a comment after writing it is incredibly helpful for those like myself who aren’t so good at proof reading 🙂
Since writing that review, I haven’t lost any of my enthusiasm for it, but have been genuinely surprised by the plugins lack of popularity. I’m not sure if that’s due to poor marketing, there be something wrong with the plugin that I’m not aware of, or that people just plain don’t see the need for this sort of functionality. At any rate, you should all go check it out and if you would like to test out it’s functionality, please feel free to leave a post below (I have it running here on geek.hellyer.kiwi).
You can download the Simple Comment Editing plugin from WordPress.org.
Disclaimer: Ronald Huereca the developer of the Simple Comments Editing plugin is a friend of mine. We alongside one another as WordPress developers at Metronet in Norway and now work alongside one another at 10up. This in no way effects my opinion of the plugin and is purely coincidence.

Damn. I just tried it out myself and it didn’t work :/
I think I may have broken it due to a test version of my Spam Destroyer plugin that I’m using here. It’s sending users to a CAPTCHA when it shouldn’t be, and I think that is screwing up the comment editing functionality :/
