Sorry, but there are better ways to do this now. This project has been deprecated and is no longer in development. This page will be kept online for archival purposes and in case anyone is still interested in the project despite being no longer maintained.

The PixoPoint Adsense plugin for WordPress allows you or your sites users to copy and paste javascript from the Google Adsense site into a post or page, and when they hit “publish”, the javascript will be automagically converted into a WordPress shortcode of the form [adsense client=”ca-pub-4209458083008072″ slot=”7550838362″ width=”125″ height=”135″]. This is ideal for anyone running a WordPress multi-site setup where you can not allow your end users to inject raw javascript into their pages. Since the script is automatically converted, you do not need to provide complex and irritating instructions. They can simply follow the instructions given to them on the Adsense site and use the script as you would on a standalone WorrdPress installation where javascript injection is not a problem for site administrators.

Text widgets

You can user the “Allow shortcodes in text widgets” plugin to allow your users to add the script into a text widget for use in their websites sidebar or footer.

Thanks to Utkarsh Kukreti for assistance with writing the regex for the plugin.
