Grunewald self-triathlon
Interested in an Olympic-length triathlon without the constraints of registration, entry fees, and early morning starts? The Grunewald Self-Triathlon offers a relaxed and individual approach. Just you, your timepiece, and nature.
The loop system of our triathlon connects you back to Krummelanke Lake after each event, ideal for storing energy snacks — no judgment if it’s your favorite candy bar. Your supporters can relax on the beach, encouraging you at each pass by.
The Central Hub, located on the northern beach of Krummelanke Lake, is conveniently close to public restrooms, accommodating those mid-race calls of nature that often go unmentioned.
Here’s what to expect:
The swim
The 1.5 km swim commences at Krummelanke’s central beach. Just swim to the lake’s southern end and back north, ending your swim at the northern beach/Central Hub.

We provide a route map for your guidance. The cycling path involves a double loop, allowing you to pass the Central Hub twice. Acknowledge your supporters on each round.

The run
The final event begins with a run towards the left, facing away from the lake. Complete the circuit around two swampy areas, then follow the scenic shores of Krummelanke and Schlachtensee lakes. Finish triumphantly at the Central Hub.
